Summary
Eurasia Foundation (EF) is launching a new humanitarian initiative to connect verified, community-based assistance to women in Afghanistan facing extreme challenges. The initiative blends humanitarian relief and resilience while maintaining EF’s high standards for transparency, compliance, and donor accountability.
To support this effort, EF seeks an experienced Crowdfunding Consultant to design and guide the end-to-end implementation of a blended fundraising campaign that combines digital and non-digital outreach to engage individual, diaspora, and institutional donors. The consultant will serve as EF’s primary coach throughout the process—supporting the organization in designing, launching, and refining the campaign from start to finish while building EF’s internal capacity for future initiatives.
Duties
The consultant will work closely with EF’s leadership, communications, and finance teams to design, launch, and document the first round of this fundraising campaign.
Crowdfunding Strategy and Framework
- Develop an integrated crowdfunding and donor-engagement framework combining online and offline approaches.
- Conduct donor mapping to identify key segments, including individual supporters, diaspora networks, corporate CSR partners, and philanthropic foundations.
- Define engagement pathways, incentives, and messaging tailored to each donor segment.
- Identify compliance, due diligence, and transparency criteria for fundraising processes in coordination with EF teams.
Digital Campaign Design and Rollout
- Design the digital campaign architecture, including messaging, donation tiers, and storytelling approaches.
- Guide EF’s communications staff in preparing platform content, social media materials, and donor-facing documents.
- Establish engagement metrics, track early performance, and recommend adjustments to improve reach and effectiveness.
Non-Digital and Institutional Engagement
Support EF in identifying and engaging individual and institutional donors within EF’s existing networks and new outreach channels.
- Develop talking points, outreach templates, and briefing materials for EF leadership to use in donor meetings and presentations.
- Advise EF on partnership and matching opportunities with CSR programs, philanthropic sponsors, and corporate partners.
- Create a donor contact tracker and document all relationship-building steps for EF’s records.
Campaign Coaching, Implementation, and Learning
- Coach EF through the full A-to-Z design and first-round implementation of the campaign, ensuring internal capacity is built for future rollouts.
- Document lessons learned, performance insights, and recommended adjustments for improved donor engagement and operational efficiency.
Reporting and Recommendations
- Submit a midterm progress brief summarizing milestones achieved, key findings, and challenges.
- Deliver a final report detailing campaign performance metrics, donor engagement outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for scaling or replication.

- Strong understanding of digital communications, storytelling, and engagement metrics.
- Excellent writing, coordination, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
