Summary 

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is seeking an experienced mentor to guide and enhance the organizational capacity of civil society and human rights organizations operating within closed societies. We aim to engage a mentor who can provide tailored support and guidance to empower these organizations to effectively navigate challenges and strengthen their operations. 

Essential Functions

  • Provide personalized mentoring and guidance to organizations to improve their organizational capacity.
  • Assess organizational strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development.
  • Develop customized strategies and action plans to address identified capacity gaps.
  • Offer expertise and guidance on best practices in organizational management, governance, and sustainability.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning sessions to build the capacity of organizational staff and leadership.
  • Collaborate with organizations to implement capacity-building initiatives and monitor progress.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to ensure sustained organizational growth and resilience.
  • Further information about the design of program and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.  

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in human rights reporting, advocacy initiatives, and workshop design, specifically in organizational capacity assessment and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring and capacity-building initiatives within civil society and human rights organizations. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, strategic planning, and governance.
  • Proven track record of empowering organizations to enhance their effectiveness and resilience.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, international development, social sciences, management, or a related area required. 
  • A combination of education and years of experience is an acceptable substitute.
  • Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in Farsi-speaking countries; Native fluency in Dari/ Persian is a plus.
