Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 (The compensation range provided is in compliance with state-specific laws

Hiring Salary Maximum: $73,000 Hiring salary is determined in consideration to other factors that include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The Program Accountant is responsible for, and in collaboration with all Eurasia Foundation’s departments, the collection and entry of procurements, invoices and credit card reconciliations. And other duties as assigned. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Acts as liaison between all Eurasia Foundation’s departmental staff in efforts to timely record financial transactions (purchase orders, invoices, credit card reconciliations, expense reports and adjustments) in the organization’s accounting system.
    • This would entail:
      • The creation and subsequent execution of an efficient workflow that includes designating a centralized portal for submission of documents.  
      • Effectively communicating the process with appropriate internal parties.
      • Accurately and timely recording data points into appropriate software for budget manager approval
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, plus commensurate related work experience

 

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Four years of experience in accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliations preferably in a not-for-profit financial setting. 
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and 2 CFR
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and computer database software
  • Above average verbal and written customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work effectively with others
  • Previous work with Serenic Navigator a plus.
