(The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws) 

Hiring Salary Maximum: $85,000

The Learning and Development Specialist will be a member of the Human Resources and Administration team. The role manages the delivery of experiences and solutions that make learning, professional growth, and organization transformation possible. The specialist plans, organizes, and facilitates learning events. Maintains the organizations learning and training plan. This role will ensure the organization provides and delivers a stellar learning experience to all personnel. 

 

Essential Function 

  • Designs, implements, facilitates, analyzes, and updates training courses, workshops, and conducts needs assessments. 

  • Coordinates, evaluates and maintains training programs, associated completion data and reports, making recommendations to management regarding opportunities for improvement. 

  • Collaborates with colleagues to deliver successful training opportunities and initiatives. 

  • Maintain and publish the training schedule/calendar. 

  • Manage the administration of the Learning Management System to make training courses available to learners, schedule courses, track completion of courses, and maintain training records. 

  • Manage all logistical requirements for events such as organizational training programs including registration, room reservation and use of virtual learning platforms. 

  • Provide support to external facilitators and trainers as required. 

  • Provide learner support, troubleshoot issues including course functionality, completion status, and transcript issues. Identify the best resolution and research alternative resolutions, engaging providers as needed. 

 

Education 

 

  • Bachelor's degree required in relevant field. 

 

Qualification/Experience  

  • 5 years of proven success in an administrative role 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) 

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in working with all levels of organization. 

  • Instructional design and training delivery experience including writing and developing training. 

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with a proven ability to translate subject matters to audience needs. 

  • Experience with learning management solutions and/or the use of databases to support training and skill progression is highly preferred. 

  • Skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities and deliverables. 

  • Project management skills for large tasks or small projects desired. 

  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
