SUMMARY

EF is seeking an expert to instruct a labor rights course in an online setting for a period of six weeks for participants living in closed societies. The instructor is responsible for contributing to the prepared course materials in consultation with key program staff and for the facilitation of the key concepts of the course. The course instructor is expected to commit at least 20 hours per week to carrying out the following:

DUTIES

  • Instruct a six-week course on labor rights for a group of participants, which includes facilitation of weekly online sessions;
  • Respond to participants and staff inquiries within a 24-hour period;
  • Seed discussion questions in forums, pro-actively respond to forum questions and support participants as needed by sharing advice and resources;
  • Introduce additional resources to course participants as secondary reading materials;
  • Follow up with participants on their assignments and weekly activities;
  • Evaluate the weekly assignments in order to ascertain the knowledge gained by each course participant;
  • Deliver a final evaluation report for the course, including recommendations for changes in content, structure, and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM) or other comparable legal degree required;
  • Master’s degree in the social sciences, management or a relevant field preferred;
  • Experience working with labor rights groups in the MENA region preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience and background in education/facilitation;
  • Candidates must have relevant working experience in Farsi/Dari-speaking countries;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Farsi/Dari is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus.
