Uzbekistan

Eurasia Foundation began its program with Uzbekistan in 1993. A year later, the Foundation opened its representative office in Tashkent.

Since 1993, Eurasia Foundation has invested more than $22 million of programs with Uzbekistan to develop non-profit organizations, universities, local government agencies, libraries, education, communities, and private enterprises.

Eurasia Foundation closed its Tashkent office in 2006. Its programs with Uzbekistan is now supported via the other offices in Central Asia.

Impact

  • In 2001, Eurasia Foundation founded the first independent higher education institution in Uzbek history: the Kelajak Ilmi International Business School.
