 Eurasia Foundation (EF) is seeking an experienced expert on women's leadership to design a four-week online course for female community leaders in the diaspora. The workshop will provide tools and strategies to boost participants' confidence and capacity to build effective relationships with various community stakeholders. The expert will be responsible for identifying the course's key concepts and designing and producing the content. The course curricula will also include local relevant examples highlighting women leaders striking for equality. Additionally, the online course will consist of exercises to help participants identify and address weaknesses in their communication and leadership style and Training-of-Trainers activities for participants interested in delivering a shorter version of the workshop in their communities. 


  • Review and redesign the organization’s existing curriculum and learning materials on leadership skills based on specifications provided by EF staff covering topics such as self-confidence, negotiation skills, effective communication, decision making, risk management, and other relevant subject matters;
  • Determine weekly topics and subtopics and learning goals in coordination with the program staff;
  • Design course structure with the aim of creating an engaging online learning environment for remote participants in coordination with program staff; 
  • Prepare weekly handouts based on the program’s learning outcomes suitable for a virtual learning environment;
  • Provide content background and supplementary readings, forum questions, and weekly assignments that achieve the course's desired learning outcomes by assisting participants in building up their leadership skills;
  • Include case studies based on local relevant examples;
  • Introduce additional resources as secondary reading materials as necessary;
  • Design the pre-and post-training exams to ascertain the knowledge gained by participants; 


  • Master's degree or equivalent in management, social science, or a related area required;
  • Demonstrated experience in education/facilitation and training the trainer methodology;
  • Strong background in developing and conducting leadership courses for women, especially in Afghanistan;
  • Ideal candidates have experience working with Afghanistan's not-for-profit organizations;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Farsi/Dari is required; 
  • Experience facilitating online/remote learning courses is highly required;                                        
  • Strong communication skills and a positive can-do attitude is required;
