Gender & Marginalized Groups V: Eurasia Foundation is building the capacity of women educators in hard-to-reach environments to empower the next generation of girls. EF online trainings provide localized resources and tools to help educators overcome gender barriers to career development, and take on their roles skillfully and fearlessly. Often delivered in conservative rural areas, trainings help educators think critically about the social, economic, and environmental challenges facing their communities, and how to confront these issues head-on. Next, equipped with the knowledge and leadership capacity to mentor and motivate students, and with continued support from EF, educators guide their students in civic engagement projects. By creating platforms for free expression in the classroom, educators embolden students to question and overcome obstacles in their lives and livelihoods, now and in the future. In doing so, they serve as powerful female role models for the next generation of change-makers.
