Richard Morningstar, former EF Trustee, has been appointed by the Obama administration as Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy. In this capacity, he will advise U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on energy policy issues in the Eurasia region.

Ambassador Morningstar served as a former ambassador to the European Union, an advisor to President Bill Clinton and a member of Eurasia Foundation’s Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2009. Eurasia Foundation would like to thank him for his support over the years and congratulate him on his new position.
