Washington, DC
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
On April 15, Eurasia Foundation (EF) celebrated fifteen years of positive change. Distinguished guests and supporters gathered for the program, which included special remarks by Robert Zoellick, president of the World Bank Group and a member of EF’s Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2000. The Foundation also recognized Sarah C. Carey, current Chair of the Board and The Honorable William Frenzel, current Vice Chair and founding Chair, for fifteen years of dedicated service to the Foundation.
The event also served as the official public launch of the Eurasia Foundation Network—a partnership of five autonomous foundations serving four regions of the former Soviet Union: the New Eurasia Foundation (FNE) in Moscow, Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia , the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, supporting Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and the East Europe Foundation, based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
EF also unveiled Localizing Our Legacy, a retrospective publication highlighting 15 years of positive change in the region that can be viewed here.
The Foundation thanks everyone who attended for making the evening such a success.
