Inaugural Bill Maynes Fellows Arrive in Washington, DC

On October 14, Eurasia Foundation welcomed the inaugural class of Bill Maynes Fellows to Washington, DC with a reception attended by distinguished guests and supporters. EFCA Provides Opportunities for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Kyrgyzstan
In September, Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) supported the opening of a center for the blind and visually impaired in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The center, called a typhloroom, is the first of its kind in southern Kyrgyzstan and provides special typhlo-equipment that enables the blind and visually impaired to work on computers, write and edit texts, read literature, translate texts into Braille and use various databases and the Internet. More...

In the run-up to the October 15th presidential election in Azerbaijan, many felt that reliable constituent access to party platforms and information from independent and balanced sources was inconsistent and often skewed towards a particular political party. EPF Expands Services at Migration and Return Resource Centers in Armenia
For the past year, Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) has been supporting eight Migration and Return Resource Centers (MRRCs) in Armenia (seven in outlying areas and one in the capital city of Yerevan) to help Armenian labor migrants understand their rights and the realities of working abroad. With support from the Western Union Foundation, EPF has expanded the services at two of its regional MRRCs in Vanadzor and Martuni. More...
