The Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF), which will continue the work of Eurasia Foundation (EF) in the South Caucasus, launched on November 13. The new foundation—registered in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia—emphasizes local decision making as the driver of positive social change in the region through programs in civic participation and monitoring, philanthropy development, research and policy capacity building, private enterprise development, cross-border cooperation.
International figures with strong connections to the South Caucasus, as well as people who are interested in the region and have strong finance and business backgrounds, make up the EPF Board of Trustees. Members of the Board include: Kenneth Yalowitz, former U.S. Ambassador to Georgia; Dietor Boden, former German Ambassador and OSCE Representative; Sabine Frazier, specialist in civil society and conflict resolution with the International Crisis Group; Margaret Richardson, former Commissioner of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service; Andrew Coxshall, Managing Partner of KPMG in the South Caucasus; and David Lee, Director of MagtiCom, Ltd., Georgia’s largest telecommunications service.
Since 1992, Eurasia Foundation (EF) has invested nearly $70 million in the South Caucasus through over 1,700 grants and programs. EPF looks forward to continuing this work, empowering citizens to effect change through grant making and targeted programs.
