President Voronin Helps EF Launch “Pro-Europa” Centers in Moldova
President Voronin prepares to cut the ribbon formally opening the Cahul European Interactive Center.
Moldovan President, Vladimir Voronin, recently presided over the launch of the first European Interactive Center “Pro-Europa” in Cahul. EF’s Moldova Representative Office in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration launched two such centers – one in Balti, in northern Moldova, and another in Cahul, in the southern part of the country. The centers act as a platform for discussion and interaction among nongovernmental organizations, local public authorities, journalists and business groups about the benefits and responsibilities of closer cooperation with Moldova’s neighbors. The centers are made possible by funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida/Asdi), the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and USAID.
