Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) maintains an office in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, where Eurasia Foundation has run programs and awarded grants since 1995.
To encourage small business development, Eurasia Foundation set up the Small Business Loan Program. In 2004, the Foundation partnered with the Izmirlian Foundation to expand the program into the Izmirlian Eurasia Universal Credit Company, which became self-sustaining in its first year.
EPF has inherited a strong foundation in media development, with past accomplishments including a Media Strengthening Program, which broke the state-sponsored monopoly in newspaper printing, and the Print Media Distribution program, which allowed smaller businesses to be competitive media distributers.
Currently, EPF’s activities in Armenia focus on community and youth development; improving local governance; supporting resource centers for labor migrants, increasing the capacity of civil society organizations and media to monitor corruption; promoting corporate social responsibility; developing a sustainable independent media; and working across borders throughout the South Caucasus.
