Mr. Zarubin is president of Eurasia Partnership Foundation serving the South Caucasus. He joined Eurasia Foundation in 2000 as the regional director for the South Caucasus Cooperation Program in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2002, he became the executive director for program development in the Washington office, and then a vice president for program development in March 2005.
Prior to joining Eurasia Foundation, Mr. Zarubin worked for four years as the executive director of the Soros Foundation in Kazakhstan, managing administration and implementing programs.
Prior to working in philanthropy, Mr. Zarubin practiced law for six years in California and three years in Russia where he worked as a legal advisor to the Novorossiysk Shipping Company.
Mr. Zarubin holds a B.S. in Foreign Service from GeorgetownUniversity and received his J.D. from McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific. Mr. Zarubin also completed an LL.M. in Admiralty Law at the TulaneUniversityLawSchool.
