Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US-based international development organization promoting civic engagement and citizen participation, is accepting applications for a Program Associate. The Program Associate will assist with ensuring proper reporting of course progress and overseeing the functionality of the training courses for Community Engagement and Accountability Initiative. S/he will liaise regularly with the Program Officer to ensure their compliance with the Online School for Community Engagement guidelines and pedagogy. The Program Associate will monitor student engagement and networking to identify opportunities for further collaboration, learning and activity and report results to the Program Officer. S/he will also identify when key connections and learning occur in courses. The Program Associate will help the school with enrollment of the students in each course, ensure weekly updates, communicate with the Program Officer, and conduct other tasks as necessary. 

Duties

  • Contribute to development of program’s overall strategy on a regular basis; 
  • Oversee the delivery of online courses on community engagement and accountability; 
  • Monitor the progress of course participants towards program outcomes, and revise program’s strategies if necessary; 
  • Liaise with instructors to ensure clear communication with course participants; 
  • Contribute to planning, strategizing and implementing the program to achieve its objectives; 
  • Design innovative methods to engage program participants; 
  • Conduct outreach campaigns utilizing social media skills and other methods as necessary; 
  • Generate content for the website when required; 
  • Report on course achievements, and prepare program’s donor reports; 
  • Support other functions as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, social work, area studies, management, or another relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred; 
  • At least four years of work experience is required; work experience on international development projects is highly desirable; 
  • Experience with social media tools, blogging and content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal and Moodle; 
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communications skills (Farsi and English); 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; 
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; 
  • Experience in educational projects and online education is a plus; 
  • Fluency in Farsi and English required. Experience in Farsi to English translation preferred.
