Program Assistant, Community Engagement and Accountability Initiative

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US-based international development organization promoting civic engagement and citizen participation, is accepting applications for a Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will support the Online Community Engagement and Accountability Program by overseeing online courses, and contributing to the program’s outreach efforts and strategies. 



  • Contribute to development of program’s overall strategy on a regular basis; 
  • Ensure clear and on-time implementation of the courses, meeting deadlines and communicating with students; 
  • Conduct outreach campaigns based on the school marketing strategies using Google AdWords, social networking and recommend other methods as needed for applications; 
  • Monitor rate and number of application acquisition during the outreach campaigns; 
  • Upload and organize the website training pieces and course materials on a weekly basis; 
  • Monitor, identify and report on learning, networking, and other progress towards the outcomes of the program in chat sessions, forums, and coursework; 
  • Liaise with instructors to ensure clear communication with students; 
  • Keep regular contact with the school’s cohort; 
  • Liaise with instructors and guest speakers to coordinate live chats with students; 
  • Initiate new channels to engage alumni members; 
  • Report on course achievements, and prepare program’s donor reports; 
  • Support other functions as assigned. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, social work, area studies, management, or another relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred; 
  • At least two years of work experience is required; work experience on international development projects is highly desirable; 
  • Experience with social media tools, blogging and content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal and Moodle; 
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communications skills (Farsi and English); 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; 
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; 
  • Experience in educational projects and online education is a plus; 
  • Fluency in Farsi and English required. Experience in Farsi to English translation preferred.
